using design in an organisation results in economic success*
design management coordinates organisation’s activities through a design strategy. synchronising the design strategy with the organisation strategy results in boosting potentialities.
the design management toolkit (dmtk) assists in this task, helping design managers and others by:
providing a method to identify the current design status of the organisation;
inspiring the design manager for next steps to take to improve potentialities by using design;
guiding on actions to take (to create a substrategy to make, to dare these tasks, to create a to-do-list);
creating the strategy (by providing trigger cards, initiate discussion, to encourage prototyping).
the toolkit is designed to be used by all types of organisations and inspiring the knowledgealbe manager. if the organisation has no design strategy, the design manager can use it as a tool to create one.
